Captured less than six hours ago the above photograph shows a view over Consiton Water from the east side of the lake. On our journey back home through the Lake District from Ullswater, I decided to take the scenic route around by the lake I had photographed just over a year ago. Today’s lighting and weather was as good if not better than when I took my photograph of the dozen boats on Coniston Water. At the point of taking the above photograph we had stopped about five times along the road and this was the last photograph of the shoot. I felt that this tree makes a great silhouette and adds foreground interest into a more traditional, classic landscape photograph of the water. It also shows what a great day it was for a mid-November in the North of England!
