Large open areas of city centres often provide excellent photographic opportunities and the People’s Square (Piazza del Popolo) in Rome is no exception to this. Regular readers will have seen a number of my photographs of the twin churches as well as the fountains at the base of this 36 metre high Egyptian obelisk. This was one of the last captures of the day as I was walking back towards the metro. As you can see, even at night it is buzzing with activity. It is well worth a visit at this time of day.
