St. Peter’s Basilica is not only regarded as one of the greatest churches in the world, but also one of the holiest Catholic sites. In addition this interior is the largest of any Christian church in the world. Walking across the vast square in front of this basilica nothing can prepare you for that first view of what you can see above. My photograph is too small to do this place any justice and I’m not going to try to give measurements to attempt to illustrate the size. I am unsure why the middle area of the flour was sectioned off to visitors, perhaps one of my kind visitors may educate us in the comments below.
