Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up having a free morning and decided to make the most of the bright sunshine and clear blue skies. There were a couple of reflection ideas that I wished to try out so ended up down at Castlefield. Yesterday, I read an article in the Manchester Evening News about Jacksons Wharf pub being demolished to make way for new apartments. The JCB arm in the photograph above is cutting up and dismantling one of the most modern looking buildings in the area around the canal. It was a bar or nightclub which I forget the name of and I always used to think how it didn’t fit in with the style of the buildings around it. Its strange how you read something in the newspaper and the next day you end up in that area and get a chance to photograph something like this.
