Whilst walking around Abney Hall’s beautiful Nature Reserve I found a small patch of Crocus flowers under a tree near the house. Its very pretty to see the flowers carpeting the grass, having not taken many close up flower shots with the new camera I was keen to see how my lens functioned on close up situations like this one. I’m reasonably pleased with the photograph above,
as I only spent a minute or two at most taking shoots of these flowers. Given more time I would like to have got lower and closer to really test out my patience, equipment and skill. Still, its a nice grab shot and the bee helps. I’m not too sure if I should have cropped in closer to remove the flowers at the bottom of the frame.
