This one of the two famous scenes to be photographed on the picturesque tidal island of Lindisfarne, taken in the Priory, which dates back to some point in the early 700s. When people picture the abbey or priory, this archway seems to always be mentioned, especially in the guide books. This wasn’t the photograph I went over to Lindisfarne to capture, but with this beautiful warm light on the stonework, I just couldn’t say “No”!
