Westhaven Marina is what I think of when people refer to Auckland as the “City of Sails”. Walking through the car park and along the water’s edge I spotted these pink flowers. Looking for a foreground for my photograph I got down on my knees and framed the photographed with the flowers in the foreground and the harbour bridge in distance. This is only a small section of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest yacht marina. It has around two thousand berths and moorings for yachts, making it a challenge to photograph.
