Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne

Located in the Kings Domain the Shrine of Remembrance was built as a memorial to the men and women of Victoria who served in the First World War and today is a memorial to all Australians who have served in war. It was unveiled in November 1934 and is (as you can probably guess) one of the largest war memorials in Australia. I wasn’t expecting to see it but came across it whilst walking through the Royal Botanical Gardens.
