Although it was my third time photographing the Southport Airshow it was only my second time that I had a chance to take the Red Arrows display team. They were as spectacular as ever. I love watching them fly (as in the above photo) in perfect synchronization , especially when they have the coloured smoke coming out of the planes. The weather and lighting today wasn’t perfect, which is why the planes almost appear as silhouettes, but the grey clouds cover only makes the bright smoke stand out even more. I have only ever been to the Southport Airshow and I am hoping that in 2008 I might have the opportunity to go and photograph more air shows around the UK.
