I recently drove to the end of Manchester Airport’s first runway to try to get some new plane photographs. The above plane is operated by Monarch, but I am unsure what model of plane this is. It almost looks blurred, but this is the haze coming off the engines. I took this image with a borrowed 70-300mm VR lens which made it 450mm on my Nikon D300. I still had to crop the image down a lot in post processing. To capture an image full size like this I really need to hire something like Sigma’s 300-800mm!
