I would love to one day witness a large vessel sail under this bridge; with the bridge lifted up high it would look very interesting. If I keep going back again and again eventually it will probably happen. This photograph was taken on the Trafford side of the quays and I am really annoyed with myself for not getting a better photograph (yes it was a great day with nice blue sky) but the bridge itself is in shadow! I made myself post it though because this evening I had a very interesting instant messenger conversation with reader Jess and she told me that this bridge has a special meaning for herself and her partner. Also, she found my website by searching on Google for pictures of Salford Quays so I thought I would add to my collection of photos from here. I hope you like it.
