Reds and blues always seem attractive in photographs, the blue calms and the red attracts attention. I feel that is why I like the above photograph so much, the way the red pillars reflect on the surface of the water really draws your eye. I was stood outside The Beatles Story Museum to take this picture, looking north, across Albert Dock to the Merseyside Maritime Museum on the left and the Edward Pavilion on the right of the image. On the corner of the dock is Granada TV and the chimney poking out behind the building is from The Pump House pub. As you can see from all the cranes to the far edges of the image, there is a lot of construction going on around the Albert Dock area.
