On one of my first walks along the banks of the River Thames in London I came across the replica ship docked in the St Mary Overie Dock. In the above photograph we can see a close up detail of the galleon’s rigging. The original ship circumnavigated the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake.
