Fountain at Piazza del Popolo

Here we see a wonderful fountain is on the east side of the People’s Square (Piazza del Popolo) in Rome. There are steps behind that lead up to Pincian Hill which I am sure gives great views down into the square. Unfortunately I didn’t make it up there. This fountain represents the end of the aqueduct. In the centre we can see Dea Roma armed with lance and helmet, and in front is the she-wolf feeding Romulus and Remus (a famous symbol of this ancient city.
