In the day time, especially in summer this small church is swarming with tourists. It isn’t hard to see why. It sits on the shores of Lake Tekapo amongst the natural beauty of the lake and mountains of Mackenzie country. Tourists pile in by the coach load. At one point I saw three coaches outside at one point. This seems crazy when you consider there is hardly room inside for two dozen people. Taking the photograph at dusk meant I had the place to myself. Sadly, it was a cloudy night as I would like to have had some stars in my photograph. Maybe next time.
Taking only photographs – leaving only footprints
I love the clouds! But what I like is the overall tone, the cool blues and the atmosphere that comes across at this time of day. It has been captured beautifully.
