On Cambridge Terrace close to the harbour is the Central Fire Station in Wellington. It is one of the cities best examples of Art Deco architecture. Seen here from the 6th floor of the YHA youth hostel. In the background is Mount Victoria. When I took this the blue sky was not quite as dark as it appears in the photograph here. This darkness of the blue is due to the camera being fooled by the brightness of the cream front of the building.
