I really enjoy visiting and photographing town and city centres, and whilst in Spain two weeks ago I was keen to photograph the main town of Almeria. After a couple of days in Spain, I realised this wasn’t going to be as easy as I first thought. Although the weather was fantastic, in terms of lovely clear blue skies, the temperature was very hot. Being from England, I am not used to it at all. I did make it on the bus to Almeria, but only ended up using my compact camera. I think that day I took about 6 photographs, and this is one of them. For me to take six pictures you know it must have been hot, as my usual is 200+ in a day. I like the way the beach front has large palm trees along the pathway. However the beach itself here isn’t sandy, its more stony but still great for swimming.
