Airbus A380 in Flight

Meet the new Airbus A380, the world’s largest airliner. 16 have already been built and Singapore Airlines are already flying them. This plane can carry up to 853 passengers or 152 tons of cargo. It was on the top of my list of photographs to take at this years Farnborough International Airshow.

The wing span of 79.8 m (261 ft 10 in) is so long that it is very difficult to take a photo including detail in the body of the plane and all of the wings. I did take better photos than this, with a more top down, side view but with only a 200mm lens it was a little small in the frame, so I decided that rather than crop the photo down and lose a lot of detail, I would publish this one instead.
