This dust covered tools, reals and cables aren’t my normal photographic subjects. But there is nothing normal about a visit to the amazing Steampunk HQ in Oamaru, New Zealand. It’s an art gallery like no other. This scene reminded me of my grandfather. When I was a young child he had a lot of wood working tools and equipment. I know this isn’t a wood lathe but it was the visual that sparked a special memory. The old poster on the wall says ‘Instructions for Operating the Improved Universal Cylinder Reboring Tool. The rest of the text is too hard to read. If anyone reading this knows more about the artists who made this or some of the equipment we are looking at comment below.
