Sheep on the Otago Peninsula

Otago is a region in the south east of New Zealand’s South Island. The largest city is Dunedin, which I drove through on Christmas Day. The Otago Peninsula is a short drive east of the city and famous for its history and wildlife. Sadly, I didn’t see any Royal Albatross. The above photograph was taken from Highcliff Road near Sandymount looking south out to the South Pacific Ocean. In the foreground are 3 of New Zealand’s 32 million sheep.
