For me this was one of the most breathtaking views of ancient Rome, the closer you look the more amazing it seems to become. From the massive Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II (the white building in the background with tourists stood on top) all the way through the old ruins of the Roman Forum. This was the original centre of government for the Roman Empire.
