River Ure, Wensleydale Valley, Yorkshire

I have made the decision to simplify and develop my “photo subjects” (or blog categories) list on the left column. This will ensure each subject has at least 10 photographs. So here is a new one from the Yorkshire Dales. It is unbelievable that I spent the day travelling through Wensleydale, from east to west in March and have never published a photograph of this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. The above view was taken looking roughly northwards from the main road through the valley. From this point we get a nice high view point to look down, but the dry stone wall in the foreground really blocks your eye. If that gate was in the middle of the frame, I feel that the image would be a lot better. Still, I thought it was worth sharing with you, purely for that lovely river meander.
