It has been planned for a few weeks, in actual fact I was meant to go to the zoo back in October but because of the weather I didn’t. So I decided just to go whatever the weather. Claire packed a great picnic and headed out to Chester. There was a light rain which died down soon after lunch. I took over a hundred photos but nothing really special. I like this photo below but it’s a pity you can’t see this male Sea Lions eyes.
Styal Woods Photograph
This afternoon I went for a nice walk in Styal Woods. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the lighting was great. The autumn colours are really beautiful at this time of the year and there were many people walking around. This photograph was taken from a footbridge over the Bolin River.
Wild Fallow Deer in Dunham Park
This afternoon I went down to near by Dunham Massey. Dunham is a lovely little village, pretty little church, post office and a half a dozen houses. The main reason for me visiting was the go into Dunham Park. I visited here many times as a child but since getting my first digital camera I never have had the time to go back for photographs. It has been a nice day and there were hundreds of people in the park, lots of wild Fallow Deer roaming the 250 acre estate. Here is one of the Deer. I like to think he was smiling!
Snugbury’s Cheshire Wheel
On the journey back from the Zoo we stopped at a local ice cream farm shop. In one of the fields they have a new sculpture each year made from bales of hay that they would normally feed to the cattle. It was taken whilst I was hanging out of the car window. Snugbury’s Farm sells really nice ice cream, its a little like an English Ben n Jerrys. I think their version of the London Eye made from hay is really cool.
