Palace of Holyroodhouse

Today was the day of doing the traditional tourist activity of travelling around the city of Edinburgh on the open top buses. We headed down to Waverley Station to pick up our tickets early this morning and then jumped on the first tour bus. We got very good seats upstairs but the weather was quite over cast. I took a lot of photos from this angle as it often gives a much better view of the famous tourist attractions around the city. After two or three hours on various bus tours we hopped off at the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the other end of the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. We didn’t go inside as it was very crowded with coach loads of tourists but I managed to quickly grab this photo through the gates of the Palace.
