This was my second visit to McLean falls and it won’t be my last. It continues to be one of my favourite waterfalls in New Zealand. If you are driving through the Catlins National Park you must stop. It is about a 40 minute return walk from the small carpark and there are steps involved. Back in 2018 I used a very wide 14mm lens and a higher viewpoint to capture my first photograph of McLean Falls. On my more recent visit I climbed down a bit to fill the bottom of the frame with the falls.
