Holy Trinity Roman Church Cork

One of the largest churches in Cork. Also known as Father Matthew Memorial Church. This Roman Catholic Gothic Revival church stands tall on the bank of the River Lee. Construction started in 1832 but the Great Famine caused years of delays. The church finally opened in 1850 but it wasn’t until 1890 that construction was fully completed. During my few days in Cork I walked past the church at different times of day and evening. Next time I must go inside the church and photograph the interior.
