A simple architectural detail like the one pictured here can look vastly different in certain lighting conditions. On grey overcast days this image would have had so little colour it would have almost been black and white. However the warm sun light was on it the day I captured this image and it really warms the tone of the brick work and makes it stand out against the lovely sky blue background.
