Taking only photographs – leaving only footprints
I set off early this morning, north to the Lake District. I am spending the weekend with 12 friends and my parents. I hope to go on lots of interesting walks and take many photographs. I haven’t visited this part of the world for a couple of years and I have never seen such nice weather as I did today. The photograph above shows Coniston Water with the beautiful autumn colours on the trees.
We set off early this morning for Scotland, this is the second time I have travelled up by car and also stopped at the Westmoorland Hotel, just of the M6 motorway at Tebay in the Lake District. The full English buffet breakfast was delicious and good value for money. I would certainly recommend this when traveling up north. We didn’t stay the night at the hotel just enjoyed the breakfast. The photo below shows the view out of the window of the restaurant.
