This yacht was on the far north of Lake Wakatipu, about an hours drive from Queenstown. Looking south west from Glenorchy towards Tooth Peaks. The way that the clouds seemed to skirt over the hills is what I was trying to capture here. It is hard to explain what I mean when I say, “even when the weather is cloudy, it is still dramatic” when people ask about New Zealand’s weather. The above photograph does a good job of this in my opinion.
