This morning I set off on another epic adventure to the Lake District, so here is a photograph of the largest of the lakes, Windermere. It was taken last autumn on a cold but beautiful Friday morning. I included the large amount of water at the bottom of the image to give an idea of the immense size of the “lake”. Unfortunately I am aiming for the northern regions of the national park today, but on the bright side I am getting a train to Penrith, which should make the cycling a little less daunting upon arrival. It is very unlikely that we will get lighting or weather as good as we see in the above picture, but whatever the weather we will be aiming to bring back some unique and different aspects of this region of the country.
