Wood seems to weather in very interesting ways and the shutters pictured above are a great example of this. I could have turned the camera sideways to take a portrait aspect photo, but I prefer landscape views. Here this gives you more of the surroundings to the shutters. Obviously black and white works well to bring out the textures in the photo. It’s just a shame about the wooden palate in the lower right corner, but that’s not something I was prepared to move around.
