Walking the plank in Wellington

There are a few things about New Zealand’s capital city that are very unusual. As a photographer always drawn towards the unusual. I’ve never been in an harbour or city centre that encourages people to jump a few metres into the sea. Obviously there is a ladder to climb back out. There are about four different diving boards, some at very scary looking heights. The small sign just to the right of the plank states “Ensure that you jump into clear water space and do not interfere with others using the platform”. Like I said, only in New Zealand!
