Doubtful Sound is the largest fiord in the south west of New Zealand. It also happens to be one of the most remote parts of the world I have visited so far on my travels. This photograph was taken from the back of the Real Journeys cruise ship. The scale of the landscapes in this part of the world is almost impossible to capture on camera. Doubtful Sound is 10 times larger in surface area than the more famous Milford Sound. In the foreground of the photograph, I including the wake of the cruise ship which serves as a good leading line to the untouched wilderness on the horizon.
