Today I decided to walk down Princes Street and up Calton Hill to get photographs looking down on the city. It wasn’t as strenuous or as high as it looks in the photo above. I feel after climbing Arthur’s Seat last year you get better views over the city from the top of here. In fact, I would say that the best views of the city of Edinburgh can be seen from the top of Calton Hill. The photograph above was taken from the top of Nelson’s Monument. I spent a good couple of hours walking around, each time I took a number of photographs over looking the city, I would turn around to see a higher point to stand to get even better views. That was until I found out that Nelson’s Monument was in fact open to the public. I paid my £3 and climbed the 170 stairs to the top of the monument. And this was the view, weather or not is was worth my three pounds is your decision, feel free to comment below…
