This is the view looking south along Sheikh Zayed Road, the longest road in the United Arab Emirates. You can see the huge spike of the Burj Khalifa and the surrounding skyscrapers of downtown Dubai in the distance. In the foreground is Sheikh Zayed Iconic picture, a key feature of Zabeel Park. This photograph was taken from the Dubai Frame at 48 floors above the ground. In my rush to get in the queue and get this photograph I ended up checking in my camera bag. When I got up to the observation deck, I realised I didn’t have a circular polariser filter with me. This is used to block out the reflections on the glass windows. The windows are at an angle, so I put my camera as close to the glass as I could and captured this photograph. I plan to come back in the future for a second try, maybe at dusk.
