Designed by Giuseppe Momo in 1932 this spectacular spiral staircase was photographed in the Vatican Museums in Rome. It was one of the top twenty photographs that I wanted to capture in the city and I knew that it would make an extremely worthy subject for monochrome / black and white processing.
