A cow in a field is a long running joke between a few photographic friends of mine at my local photography club. It started when a harsher than the average judge told a photographer that anyone can take a photo of a cow in a field and that it lacks imagination or skill. Well in homage to this judge here are two cows in a field, taken in the Lake District National Park in the warm afternoon light of early winter. In some ways the judge was right in that this isn’t one of my best or favourite photographs, but that’s judges for you!
