Sunrise or dawn is one of my favourite times of the day to photograph. It sometimes feels as if the whole world is still sound asleep and I have the place to myself. This was certainly the case when I got up an hour before sunset in the middle of last winter. The sky was clear and the trees were bare, allowing me to capture this interesting tree silhouette with a beautiful graduated sky behind.
