Tree Bark Texture Pattern

Here we see a close up detail of a tree trunk, showing the texture of the bark. I don’t know what type of tree this is but I thought the way the sunlight was failing onto it made it more interesting. The dark patches are shadows cast from the surrounding tree tops. I am looking into and researching new ways of recording and capturing details of the places I visit. Hopefully you will start to see the results of this in the coming months.
