The Shambles is an old street in York with overhanging timber framed buildings, some of which date back to the fourteenth century. Today it is popular tourist attraction, so I was glad that I had set my alarm early and got into the city as early as I could. If you look very closely you will see a delivery van at the end of the road. He kept moving further and further down this narrow, cobbled road delivering goods to various shops. I must have waited at least 10-15 minutes for him to move his van enough for me to capture this photograph.
