A few years ago I was in Papatowai in the middle of winter photographing waterfalls. It was an amazing weekend but sadly the Lost Gypsy Gallery was closed. Last summer it was top of my list of must sees. I was not disappointed. This is the scene that first greets you when you arrive. The sign says “rewarding the curious since 1999 with solar, wind, water and hand power creations. Recycled naturally now with coffee and cakes. The coffee was amazing, the best I have had south of Christchurch so far. Inside this old green Leyland house bus is the Gallery. This is home to over 85 buttons to push, wind and play. It also contains the world upside down globe I previously shared. Thank you to the artist Blair Somerville for an amazing gallery of your work, it was very inspiring.
