The last photograph of Paris for a while but how could I publish a set of images from such a famous city without showing you a picture taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower. It is very interesting to me how the light worked, the clouds were really low and dark but for some reason the buildings have sunlight on them, I only wish this picture had been captured on digital RAW format as I would have been able to perfectly expose and correct the light in all the buildings. Still I find it an interesting photograph of the city.
Travelling back to Altrincham to see my parents, and go to the Photographic Club I saw this very beautiful and interesting sunset. I was waiting for the Metrolink Tram at G-MEX “Station”. Due to its location it has a nice view towards the south of Manchester (away from the city centre). I am not sure what the silhouetted buildings are called but I still think this is a nice photograph, I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I did taking it.
The day I have been looking forward too for many years is finally upon me. I now have my own flat. After living with my parents all my life this is a very big change for me and as much as I am looking forward to it, I’m sure there is a lot I will miss. I have moved into Manchester’s Student Village in the centre of Manchester. I love the city and I have a relatively large room. Sadly, my room window looks onto a courtyard and I see nothing special despite being on the 5th floor. I did however, find this great view looking toward to city, from one of the old stair cases in the building. The photo above is just a quick snap though, as I have been running up and down stairs all day but I will be sure to revisit this and many other similar locations in the next few months. You can see down onto Oxford Road Station, across to the G-Mex centre, Beetham Tower, the town hall and many other famous landmarks of Manchester’s city centre. I hope to find more interesting view points and great city centre photos now I live right in the heart of the action.
As usual I am up to my eyes in last minute packing, trying to decide what I need and what I don’t, but I thought it would be nice to post one last message before I leave for New York tomorrow morning. The flight takes off from Manchester at 10am and I shall be back in the UK come Friday morning. I will be sure to take as many photos as I can and document my trip as best as possible when I get home. Hope you have a great week and I will leave you all with the photo below that I took last April from Liberty Island looking towards New York City.
