This afternoon I had a bit of time to go out for a Photo walk so I thought I would show one of my mates around Salford Quays and take some pictures at the same time, I really enjoy the Quays, the modern architect, the large areas of water and the sense of history all seem to be such an interesting contrast. I remember taking a picture on this bridge when I was a child. I was at a carnival with my Dad, I think I still have one of the black and white wet prints I made from all those years ago. Anyway, I like this photograph as the contrast between the red of the bridge and the blues in the sky and water seem to work well together.
Boat trip on the Firth of Forth
This morning we decided to take the 10:30 boat trip along the Firth of Forth estuary. The boat took us past the road bridge which we drove over yesterday and under the Forth (railway) Bridge. As you can see in the photo the bridge is currently under going serious maintenance. My image also shows the Maid of the Forth, the ferry which we travelled on.
Driving over the Forth Road Bridge
Edinburgh being near the the east coast of Scotland I thought it would be interesting to take the trip north to explore the coastal villages. To get there we travelled over the Forth Road Bridge. The photo isn’t all that interesting but I thought I would post it up here as I did take it from a moving car.
