After an abandoned attempt at this view of Sydney (had arranged to meet a couple of friends) I was determined to go back. Arriving a couple of hours earlier than necessary wasn’t a bad thing as the people watching in the botanical gardens is great, hundreds of local joggers mixed with large groups of tourists throughout the day turning up for this view.
Waiting around to dusk paid off as I watched the sun setting behind this amazing view. Walking up and down water front of the Domain between Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Royal Botanic Gardens you can position the Opera House where you wish it in relation to the bridge. Under the bridge to the right you can see the bright lights of Luma Park.
