One of my favourite place in Sydney is Mrs Macquarie’s Point, at the end of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Earlier this year I was in Sydney for two weeks and came here once for sunset and twice for sunrise. Looking towards the bridge we’re facing west. In the evening you have a good chance of a nice sunset behind the bridge and Opera House. This can create a good silhouette but I prefer going here at dawn. Getting there about an hour before sunrise there were only half a dozen people. This photograph was taken about an hour after sunset on my first evening in Sydney.
