Taken from the middle of Tower Bridge, this photo shows two very famous but very different buildings. In the foreground is Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress, more commonly known as the Tower of London. This is one of the very famous and well know tourist spots in London. The modern glass building behind is 30 St Mary Axe, also known as the Gherkin and the Swiss Re Building. This is in the financial district of London and stands at 40 storeys tall, completed in 2004.
