The Kirkstone pass is one of my favourite roads through the Lake District National Park and the drive from Windermere over towards Brothers Water and Ullswater has some amazing views in the right light. In the above photo I feel that the dry stone wall and lone tree work well together with the landscape. I used a 10mm super wide angle lens to get as much of these two key elements in as possible. This image was captured in the early afternoon, by this time the cloud had moved in. The exact location is on top of the Kirkstone pass just before the Kirkstone Inn.
