St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square together are the centre of Vatican City. The facade of this world famous and world’s largest church is topped with 13 huge statues. Above is a close-up shot taken at night of the three central statues. On the left is John the Baptist with Christ the Redeemer in the center and Andrew on the right. My aim is that next time I am in this wonderful part of the world I will have a chance to get up higher, to the dome of the Basilica and capture a photograph of these statues from a different angle to give a great sense of scale.
