This photograph has been a long time in the making, it is taken from Holyhead, which is on the west coast of Anglesey, which is off the north west coast of Wales. In fact it is so far west that my mobile phone connected to the Irish telephone networks! Last year I tried to get a photograph of South Stack but ended up at the wrong lighthouse on Anglesey (at the time the name escaped me and without a name searching is a little difficult). It was an extra 80 mile round trip out of my way just to capture the above image but it was worth it. The lighting wasn’t stunning but at least I now know where it is for next time!
