The above photograph shows North Nelly Moss Lake, part of the Cragside Estate in Northumberland. It represents a fresh look at an image captured over a year ago. Long time regular readers might remember the original colour version of this which can be seen below. The striking black and white or monochrome conversion came quite by accident. I had been looking for pictures to enter into a competition with the theme of Skyscapes; looking through a Lightroom collection and finding four colour images I liked was a problem. The rules of the competition state that only three photographs can be entered in each section, but colour and mono are two separate sections.
